Huatulco, of course, is a stunningly beautiful destination, but this magnificent home sits on the very best property in the area. From the open-air kitchen, dining room and living rooms. You look across the infinity pool to the entire sweep of Tangolunda Bay.

From the upper bedrooms, each with a breezy private balcony, there are panoramic views of the Pacific and Tangotunda. Lounge in a chaise next to the pool and look across an entirely different bay, bahia Conejos. Truly a 360 degree house, and all of this backed up by magnificent mountain ranges and punctuated with foliage everywhere and brilliant splashes of flowers.

Every detail of this new and unique home seem to have been designed with the idea of spoiling the guests better than any luxury hotel ever could. From the fluffiest of towels and silkiest of sheets to the perfectly trained staff who anticipate your every need but operate so quietly in the background you hardly know they are there.

Complete privacy, yet less than a minute from a private beach club. Close to town but away from the crowd. And the architecture should win an award. I live in the northern Mexico fulltime and travel constantly, but I’ve never seen a more magnificent palapa design – three stories of sparing beams and open-air delight. And the weather is so perfect, day and night, that you’ll never have to get out of your bathing suit, if you so choose. Yes, you could stay at a five-star Huatulco, but you’d really be stepping down. Worth every penny.  ( Just don’t book next January when I plan to come back.)”
